Copy Event To New Event

 

Purpose:  To add a new event using an existing event to easily copy data from the existing event.

 

Launch Point: This routine can be launched from the following location(s):

 

      Events → File Maintenance → Routines Drop-Down Menu

 

Note:  launch the routine from the event you want to copy.

 

Example:  When the routine is launched a window will open

 

Information from the event being copied will be shown. You can update the data on the left as needed and uncheck or check the Copy box on fields in the grid as needed.

 

If you want to copy all the fees or leaders, check the Copy box on the parent row. To copy just certain fees or leaders, expand the child rows and check the Copy box on just the fee(s) or leader(s) child row(s) you want to copy.

 

Note: Fee Date is editable in the grid.

 

If the event has sessions, there will be parent and child rows for those also. Check the Copy box on the parent row to copy all sessions or check the Copy box on just the session(s) (child rows) you want copied.

 

Note: Date and Day are editable fields in the grid. Day will default to the day on the event being copied.

 

If the Status on the event being copied is Bundle, and there are future scheduled events on the Bundle tab, there will be a Bundle parent row shown in the grid. All future scheduled events from the Bundle tab will be shown as child rows in the grid.

 

If your system is configured to work with attendance codes and the event being copied has attendance codes setup, there will be an Attendance Codes parent row shown in the grid. All attendance codes on the event will be shown as child rows in the grid. Check the Copy box on the parent row to copy all attendance codes or check the Copy box on just the attendance code(s) (child rows) you want copied.

 

When all the needed information has been entered, click Save to create the new event.
