Purpose: To manipulate system codes. If a system code listing is misspelled or needs to be edited this routine allows you to modify the description. If a system code listing is obsolete or entered by mistake it can be deleted. The routine will also allow you to consolidate two listings into one. WARNING: THIS IS A VERY POWERFUL ROUTINE AND MISUSE CAN INVALIDATE LARGE AMOUNTS OF DATA.

User defined system codes will be displayed in the grid. The tables which contain a field using the system code are listed in the Table(s) column. Highlight the system code to work with. The OK button will remain disabled until a Select Action is selected.
In the upper right of the window you will find two buttons, Export and Help.
The Help button, which has the question mark, will open documentation on this routine.
To export to excel first highlight the system code to work within the grid. Then click the down arrow on the Export button and select either Excel 2000/2002/XP/2003 (.xls) or Excel 2007 (.xlsx).
The system code data can also be exported from the grid. Highlight the system code to work with and right-click. A context menu is displayed with an option for Export. Move your mouse over the context menu and then select the appropriate excel format.
To delete a code for the highlighted system code, select Delete a System Code. In the Select the code to delete drop down select the code to be deleted.
Click OK to delete the code. The code will be deleted wherever it is used in the tables listed in the grid as well as the system codes table.
To consolidate two codes for the highlighted system code select Consolidate a System Code. In the Select the code to consolidate drop down select the code to be deleted. In the Select the code to merge into drop down select the code to merge into.
Click OK to consolidate the codes. Wherever the code to be consolidated is used, in the tables listed in the grid, it will be changed to the code selected to merge into. If the system code highlighted is a multi code field, like the mailing lists, if a record has both the code to consolidate and the code to delete then the code to consolidate is deleted from the record. The code to consolidate will be deleted in the system codes table.
To modify the description of a code for the highlighted system code, select Modify Description of a System Code. In the Select the code to modify description drop down select the code to modify. In the Enter new description text box enter the new description for the code.
Click OK to modify the description on the code. The description for the code will be edited in the system codes table.
