Duplicate Names

 

Purpose:  Since the membership database is often updated by staff in different departments, it is not unusual, over time, to find duplicate Names file maintenance records for the same individual. This report compares each record in the Names table against other records in the same table. Based on various user-defined options, it will compare selected data within those records and identify potential duplicates.

 

Launch Point:  This report can be launched from the following location(s):

 

      Names → Reports → Other →

 

Example:  When the report is launched the report wizard will open

 

 

Options for record add date range and last name range enable larger associations to break the report down into workable small sections.

 

Note:  This is a system maintenance report and should be run periodically (for small associations quarterly may be sufficient but for large associates this report may need to be run monthly).
