Purpose: To locate a Name or Firm record with a specified phone or fax number.
Launch Point: This routine can be launched from the following location(s):
• File Drop-Down Menu (on the main system screen) →
Example: When the routine is launched a window will open
Enter the full phone/fax number, including area code, and click Display Matches.
For an individual, the system will search for matching data in the following fields: home phone, home fax, direct office phone, and direct office fax. If the record has a linked firm, the general office phone and fax in the firm record are also searched. If a match is found in any one of these fields, the record is displayed.
For a firm, the general office phone and general office fax numbers are matched.
If a match was found for a firm, the Name column will be blank. If a match is found for an individual, his/her firm name will display if available. In either instance, a double-click in either the Name or Firm column will open that record.
